The God of Small Things

No, I'm not making fun of Brian.

I just finished reading a book called The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy. It's about an Indian family and other stuff. It's honestly one of the best books I've ever read. I haven't read many books, but this one is easily the most uniquely written style I've seen in a long time.

Actually, it's ok. You should check it out for yourself. I'm going to insert it now (my favorite excerpt)

It didn't matter that the story had begun, because the kathakali discovered long ago that the secret of the Great Stories is that they have no secrets. The Great Stories are the ones you have heard and want to hear again. The ones you can enter anywhere and inhabit comfortably. They don't deceive you with thrills and trick endings. They don't surprise you with the unforseen. They are as familiar as the house you live in. Or the smell of your lover's skin. You know how they end, yet you listen as though you don't. In the way that although you know that one day you will die, you live as though you won't. In the Great Stories you know who lives, who dies, who finds love, who doesn't. And yet you want to know again.
That is their mystery and their magic.

Next up is Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom and Gift from the Sea by Anne Morrow Lindbergh.

I don't know why I've started reading again. It's a bit soothing, actually.

I've also started going to the gym again too. It's thrilling. I've never before experienced that rush of endorphins that seems to elate everyone else, at least not until last week.

Since then I have been running more and feeling really good.

My life is going well right now.

It's hard sometimes to recognize when that is, so thank you to all my friends who make this possible.

I'd like to thank the Academy as well. Together, we shall prevail.

No. There is already a book written about me called "The God of Huge Things."

exercise is awesome!

as Elle Woods once eloquently said about exercise,

"She couldn't have killed him because she exercises a lot. And exercise releases endorphins. And endorphines make you happy. And happy people simply don't kill other people!"
